Extract pages or split a PDF into multiple files. Separate specific pages from your document or divide large PDFs into smaller, manageable files.

How to use Split PDF

  1. Select or drag the PDF file you want to split into the upload area. Your file stays on your device and is processed directly in your browser.
  2. Review the file name, page count, and first-page preview to make sure you selected the correct document.
  3. Choose Extract all pages to create a separate PDF for every page, or choose Fixed ranges and enter pages such as 1-3, 5, 8-10.
  4. Click Split PDF. Download the ZIP file for all individual pages, or download the new PDF that contains the page ranges you selected.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I split a PDF without uploading it?

Yes. innoPDF processes your PDF locally in your browser, so the file stays on your device and is never uploaded to a server.

Can I extract specific pages from a PDF?

Yes. Choose Fixed ranges, then enter page numbers or ranges such as 1-3, 5. innoPDF creates one new PDF containing only the selected pages in their original document order.

Will the original PDF be modified?

No. The tool creates new split PDF files and leaves your original document unchanged. You can keep both the original and the split versions on your device.

Is there a file size limit?

There is no fixed upload or usage limit. The practical limit is your device memory and browser performance, because processing happens locally instead of on a server.

What files will I receive after splitting?

When you choose Extract all pages, innoPDF creates one PDF per page and downloads them together as a ZIP file. When you use Fixed ranges, it creates one PDF containing the pages you selected.

Can I select pages that are not next to each other?

Yes. In Fixed ranges mode, combine individual pages and ranges in one field. For example, 1-3, 5, 8-10 extracts pages 1 through 3, page 5, and pages 8 through 10.
